What are the steps of getting a web site contract for your organization?

You inform the Company about your organization web site needs and wants.
You ask for a written proposal for your organization.
You get a written proposal and a proposed contract for your review.
You ask for clarifications or explanations, if necessary.
You agree to the terms and ask for a set of contracts for signature.
You receive two contracts, both signed by the President of the Company.
You sign both contracts and return one to the Company, keeping one for your organization.
You pay the cost of the contract for one year up front.

What does the Company do to earn its money?

Company provides a turnkey approach to your web site taking care of all your needs and wants.
Company buys your organization the domain name of your choice for a term of a year.
Company buys commercial web site hosting service for one year.
Company buys a branded HOA email address.
Company designs the web site and uploads it to the hosting site.
Company works with your designated contact person to make the web site functional and acceptable.
Company maintains your web site and makes additions and updates throughout the year.

Who decides what goes on the web site?

The Contract specifies that the Organization will designate a named person to make all decisions concerning the execution of the Contract, including all decision over web site content.
The named person solves the problem of trying to get a committee to make a decision or of having the webmaster trying to serve more than one master, which never works.
